What we're looking for
- Essays and explainers grounded in research, expertise or firsthand experience
- A clear argument or insight — not just a survey of a topic
- Original work that hasn't been published elsewhere
How to pitch
Send a short pitch — a working title, a two or three sentence summary of your argument, and a note on your relevant expertise or sources — to editorial@altiusjournal.com. Previously published writing samples are welcome but not required.
What to expect
We aim to respond to pitches within two weeks. If we commission a piece, an editor will work with you through drafting and fact-checking before publication — see our Editorial Standards for what that process looks like.
